How To Calculate The Video Wall Size?

With the development of technology and economy, video walls are becoming more and more popular in the market. Many customers want to install a video wall, but how to calculate the size of the video wall according to the size of the installation area? 

Let me tell you how to calculate ! The content is divided into two parts: LCD / LED. In this article, we will tell you about the calculation method of LCD video wall.


BRWall's LCD products are divided into S series and L series, which use Samsung and LG panels respectively. There are 46-inch, 49-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch models, which are also commonly used models on the market. Different brands, sizes, and bezel will affect the size of the LCD.

For example, our HS5530LN (S series) and HG5530LN (L series), their sizes are 55 inches, the bezel is 3.5mm, but the size of HS5530LN is 1213.53 * 684.3 * 67.3 mm, and the size of HG5530LN is 1213.4 * 684.2 * 68.85 mm.


Let's start the calculation. Suppose the customer needs a video wall, the room wall size is 8m * 5m, but the display area he wants is 6m * 3m, let we use HG5530LN to calculate. 

We already know that the product size of HG5530LN is 1213.4 * 684.2 * 68.85 mm, and the size of the display area is 6m * 3m, so the following is the calculation method:

Number of horizontal LCD screens: 6000mm ÷ 1213.4mm = 4.945
Number of vertical LCD screens: 3000mm ÷ 684.2 = 4.385

At this time, you will find that the result is not an integer, so how to determine how many LCD screens are used?

1. 4X4:
If the customer insists that the size of the display area cannot exceed 6m * 3m, then the total number of LCD screens is 4x4 = 16 pcs, 4x1213.4 = 4853.6mm
4x684.2 = 2736.8mm, so the actual display area is: 4.8536m * 2.7368m

2. 5X4 or 5X5
If the customer allows the display area size to exceed 6m * 3m, then the total number of LCDs can be 5X4 = 20 pcs or 5x5 = 25 pcs, the actual display area is 6.067m * 2.7368m or 6.067m * 3.421m, just let customers choose which solution to use.
